I’m Teddy Bell — the celebrant behind Married By A Teddy — known for creating ceremonies that feel relaxed, affirming, and beautifully organised.
With extensive experience in public speaking, ceremony design, and people-centred work, I bring a steady presence, clear communication, and genuine warmth to every ceremony I lead.
Outside of ceremonies, I’m deeply curious about people and the world. I’ve travelled to more than 90 countries, lived overseas, and carry those cultural experiences into the way I hold space for different stories, identities, and ways of loving. I’m also a musician, which means rhythm, pacing, and emotional flow come naturally to how I design and deliver ceremonies. And, of course, the true love of my life is Disco, my three-year-old Golden Retriever, who keeps me joyful, humble, and very well walked.

Yes. I am a registered Commonwealth-authorised marriage celebrant, and all legal requirements are handled correctly and clearly.
For overseas elopements, I’ll conduct a separate short ceremony on Australian soil to ensure your marriage can be legally recognised.

The Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be lodged at least one month before your wedding date, but no more than 18 months in advance.
Once your NOIM is submitted and witnessed correctly, it remains valid for up to 18 months. I’ll guide you through the timing and paperwork to make sure everything is completed properly and without stress.
